Hotel Belmare belongs to the Anselmi family who run it personally. It was Mrs. Assunta’s idea at the beginning of the Seventies; she believed more than anyone else in the importance of tourism not only as an economical development but in integrating it with the surrounding environment. It is precisely the landscape around Hotel Bel Mare which gets the lion’s share. The lush Meditteranean vegetation which stretches from the surrounding hills to the sea has created a particularly beautiful setting. In the spring when the broom is flowering, a symbiosis of the clear blue sea, green hills and the maquis yellow with broom, creates a unique example which is really worth living for.
